Siêu âm trị liệu là gì?
Sóng siêu âm được sử dụng trong vật lý trị liệu tần số từ 0,7-3,3 (tai người không thể nghe thấy được) nhằm tăng tối đa hấp thu năng lượng của các mô mềm.
Để tạo ra sóng siêu âm, kỹ thuật viên sẽ sử dụng một dòng điện xoay chiều cao tần lên tinh thể trong đầu phát của máy siêu âm. Dưới tác động của dòng điện xoay chiều, các tinh thể giãn nở tương ứng. Khi tinh thể nở to ra, nó sẽ ép các vật chất lại, khi co lại sẽ làm loãng vật chất. Sự thay đổi ấy hình thành nên sóng siêu âm.
Siêu âm cần thực hiện qua một môi trường trung gian để dẫn truyền siêu âm (thường dùng chất gel, dầu, mỡ thuốc, vaseline…). Trong đó, gel được sử dụng phổ biến nhất. Khi thực hiện siêu âm trị liệu, người điều trị sẽ lót giữa da và đầu phát một lớp mỡ hoặc gel để siêu âm qua nước, bàng quang hoặc truyền âm vào cơ thể.
Các tác dụng của sóng siêu âm
Siêu âm trị liệu có 2 tác dụng chính:
– Tác dụng nhiệt:
Nhiệt trong sóng siêu âm làm tăng hoạt động của tế bào, giúp giãn cơ, giãn mạch máu, tăng tuần hoàn, tăng oxy, chất dinh dưỡng, tăng quá trình đào thải và thúc đẩy quá trình viêm sớm kết thúc, đồng thời mang đến sự thư giãn cho người bệnh. Sử dụng siêu âm trị liệu trong thời gian dài, đúng cách (theo chỉ định của bác sĩ) có thể giải quyết được hoàn toàn các hiện tượng viêm.
– Tác dụng cơ:
Sóng âm có tác dụng cơ học (hiện tượng này được gọi là “xoa bóp vi thể”). Dưới tác động của sóng này, các ion nội và ngoại bào vận động liên tục, góp phần làm thay đổi tính thấm và hoạt tính của màng tế bào như: gia tăng tính thấm của màng, gia tăng sự hấp thụ, kích hoạt sự trao đổi chất, làm mềm chất kết dính.
