1. Chứng trẹo cổ là gì?
Trẹo cổ là tình trạng co thắt cơ trơn, dẫn đến rối loạn vận động ở cơ cổ và làm cho đầu bị nghiêng sang một bên. Người bị trẹo cổ thường cảm thấy đau khi xoay cổ hoặc ngẩng, cúi đầu. Chứng trẹo cổ không quá nguy hiểm nhưng lại gây nhiều bất tiện trong vận động, sinh hoạt và làm việc. Tình trạng này hoàn toàn có thể điều trị được nếu tiếp cận đúng cách.
Dạng trẹo cổ thường gặp nhất là chứng trẹo cổ do co thắt.
2. Phân loại và nguyên nhân gây trẹo cổ
Trẹo cổ được chia ra làm 2 loại là:
Trẹo cổ cấp tính: Xảy ra đột ngột do chấn thương, nhiễm lạnh, ngủ hoặc ngồi không đúng tư thế, mang vác vật nặng khiến cho các hạch bạch huyết bị viêm và các khớp của cổ sưng lên.
Trẹo cổ mãn tính: Tiến triển theo thời gian do thói quen xấu hoặc những nguyên nhân khác như chấn thương chưa được điều trị dứt điểm. Loại trẹo cổ này khiến đầu bị nghiêng và đau đớn nhiều hơn, ảnh hưởng đến sinh hoạt hàng ngày.
3. Dấu hiệu nhận biết khi bị trẹo cổ
Dưới đây là một số dấu hiệu điển hình nhận biết chứng trẹo cổ mà người bệnh cần lưu ý:
Cứng cổ, đau nhức gây khó chịu.
Sưng cơ cổ.
Tư thế đầu bất thường: đầu bị cúi ra trước, đầu bị ngửa ra sau, đầu bị nghiêng một bên.
Đau đầu, đau lưng, khó nuốt thức ăn, khi nuốt có cảm giác nóng ở cổ.

Đối với tình trạng mãn tính: Bệnh sẽ khó điều trị và có thể gây biến chứng nghiêm trọng như các triệu chứng thần kinh, đau nhiều hơn, không thể lái xe, nói chuyện và giao tiếp khó khăn, các hoạt động sinh hoạt bị cản trở.
